Spoonful of Comfort!
I got the most amazing Care Package last week from Brother, SIL and Niece!
This company was founded by a man whose mother was diagnosed with cancer while he lived far away. He started this company in her memory, sending Care Packages he would want to send to his mother. The ladle is high quality. The Chicken Soup and Rolls were the best we've ever had! (The soup arrived super cold; sooo well packaged.) The cookies are in the freezer until April, since we're not eating sugar until then. But WOW! The packaging itself was a glory to behold! The INTERIOR of each box is colourful and cheerful,
and the boxes can all be easily turned inside out and reused!!
Truly Brilliant!! 💛 We love SPOONFUL OF COMFORT!
Here's an uplifting post from Ukraine that certainly offers perspective

Deletefrom Nataliia Bushkovska:
January was unbearably hard. Shelling. Tempreture - 20C. No heating, no electricity, no water. Schools on forced break — and all of this layered on top of very ordinary adult responsibilities: working, cooking, holding things together, supporting others.
And then today I came across a compilation of videos by the Ukrainian media outlet Sho Tam (What’s Up?) about how Ukrainians endured this winter.
And it was… astonishing.
This is what we did:
We let stray animals onto public transport so they could warm up.
We built ice houses with our children.
We danced on the frozen Kyiv Sea.
We created winter shelters for swans.
We wrapped rescuers’ legs to keep them warm as they helped people in subzero temperatures after shelling.
We watched children rejoice in winter — despite everything.
We thanked electricians who came to Kyiv from all over the country to restore power after attacks.
We laughed at improvised costume shows.
We admired figure skaters on that same frozen Kyiv Sea.
It was a month of trials. And we made it through.
=Whew!= We got almost 5" more snow overnight, so nearly 8" from this storm. I just shoveled out the truck and the mailbox and more, and I'm beat. At least it was light and fluffy, so maybe I didn't violate the rules of my recovery time? Maybe.
ReplyDeleteit's official: i put down a deposit on a senior apartment last night. Unfurnished so I'll have to buy a bed and other things before I can move in, but it's coming along.
