Mill Village

The Old Red Mill in back on the left, is the site of the Historical Society's
Snowflake Bentley exhibit and offers local artisan's works as well.

  1. Wow! It's unsettling to think of our W.A. falling, being injured, and not getting help for what sounds like at least 12 hours...! I'm glad I read the last thread before coming here.

    Take care everybody. You matter!

  2. Wil and I enjoyed Handel's Messiah at the Barre Opera House on Sunday...a gift from Daughter. Turns out the eloquent Alto is the sister of my PCP...and their dad taught at the experimental, liberal arts college i graduated from. He's currently 101 years old and is a solid and long time peace activist here in Vermont...responsible for Bread and Puppet Theater getting its start! Small world, in a very lovely way.

  5. ICE= Intentionally Criminal Enterprise. Losing a 6-year old boy. Stephen Miller's hateful trademark. Susan

  6. This news item is heartbreaking, and just horrific. And the monster that did it will probably never face human justice. The knowledge that he'll burn for all eternity in Hell is very cold comfort.

  7. Do you all think that, since we know what hospital W.A. is in, we should send them a teddy bear, or a miniature poinsettia or something? Being in the hospital's a major drag, and it's even worse if you're in the bed away from the window. I think they might need some cheering up. In fact, I was thinking of trying to phone and speak to them for a moment or two - not too long!

  8. Heard about the earthquake and subsequent tsunami warning for Japan. Is it just me, or does Mother Earth seem a lot more restless lately?

  9. Reporting back:

Talked to W.A., who is registered under William BTW. They sound good, all things considered. The dehydration has been taken care of. They said the hospital people aren't sure, but they may be able to go home Wednesday. The uncertainty comes from an open wound - I think on the heel - they had before the fall that became infected. Naturally, that has to be dealt with. So, maybe Wednesday, maybe later.

    1. That W.A.'s a silly one. When I said we were all worried about them, their response was, "Really?" *sigh* I assured them that we love them, and that seemed to please them.
