  1. Wil and I are getting our flu shots today.
If you’ve had yours, any troublesome symptoms to be aware of?

  2. When I got my Covid and Flu at the same time I couldn't walk for 24 hours, so I skipped last year and this year. Susan

    1. I never ever ever get two at the same time, so I’ll know which one is the issue if I feel crummy.

    1. That's because it's indigenous people who have lost villages. And FEMA is shut down.
It's too late in the year to rebuild, even if supplies were brought in.

    2. One issue is that once a typhoon (Pacific) or hurricane (Atlantic) becomes extratropical the storm tracking ends.

    1. I am utterly furious about this travesty! AND the disabled 15 year old boy in California who was held at gunpoint in mistaken identity!

    2. Can a governor order their state police or National Guard to supervise ICE? That is, ensure they have warrants and are respecting due process? After all, what ICE is doing it illegal, and treating any human including American citizens like this should land the perpetrators in jail.

  6. Federal firings could reach 10,000 during shutdown, Vought says
Axios: OMB director Russell Vought said Wednesday that more than 10,000 federal workers could end up getting fired during the shutdown.
That's more than twice as many terminations as the White House said it was conducting just last week in court filings. -- nordy

  7. W.A., I just read back a few days and saw your note saying you'll be interested to hear what the ENT doc says. I'll be sure to update. We think the issue is that my allergies cause the turbinates in my nose to become enlarged. Since I can't be allergy free, we may need to opt for a mechanical solution. Will know soon!

    1. Ironically, I slept very well last night...7 hours straight through! Can't remember the last time that happened, and I sure wish I knew WHY so I could repeat it!
