  2. Looks like nothing much going on today. Things are quiet here.

  3. Well, let's see. What's going on? If you lived in Seattle, you weren't able to watch Jimmy Kimmel's return monologue. That is because the local ABC station is owned by Sinclair, which, as you know, is notoriously right-wing and known for ordering its staff to run rightist stories and commentaries. Joined by Nexstar, Sinclair refused to run the monologue on its 30 or so nationwide affiliates, including ours. KOMO, the Sinclair station, has always been out of place here, even though its rightist leanings are quite muted, probably in deference to our heavily blue city. It gets more complicated, though. Nexstar is in negotiations to buy Tegna, which owns KING, the only liberal station in town. So blue Seattle could end up with only one news outlet that isn't red. I feel a boycott coming on. -- nerdy nordy

  4. What's in a name? Our NBC affiliate, owned by Tegna, is KING. It has a sister station called KONG. So it's KING KONG. -- nordy the nerd.

  6. Aggressive squirrel seeking food sends at least two people to ER in California.

Guardian: Residents of a San Francisco Bay Area city are on the lookout for an aggressive squirrel that has sent at least two people to the emergency room for medical treatment.
Joan Heblack told ABC affiliate KGO-TV that she was walking in the Lucas Valley neighborhood of San Rafael when a squirrel seemingly came out of nowhere and attacked her leg, clawing and biting. -- nordy the 🤓

    1. Poor squirrel. I hope it doesn't become so distressed and aggressive that they put it down!

    2. When we were kids, some boys were throwing rocks at a squirrel in a tree in the park. The squirrel was so upset it jumped from the tree and landed on my sister’s arm with a big scratch.
Have to wonder what happened to this squirrel.

  7. Hallo all!
Began the day by meeting with a doc at my PCP’s office, who sent me to a Dermatologist, and amazingly I got right in…! Then it was off to the pharmacy. Then straight to the Bay to take our boat over to the marina, because the Lake is so low it needs to be hauled out early for the Winter. Got stuck in some mud at one point, but we made it. Then home via the supermarket, packed for a trip and finally have these five minutes to rub together to say hi, before heading to bed. Wil and I also cannot see Kimmel here anymore. But we are right now watching his monologue from last night.

    Loved your signatures today, nordy!!
