  2. My next door neighbour, Fran, died this afternoon.
She was 93 and died peacefully at home with family around her.
But, really, this whole past month really sucks.

  3. No progress at hospital, so it was rehab hospital or home with some home hospice assistance. I would rather pass away at home than in the hospital. We have me pretty well settled in now.

    2. Ohhh, Alan. My heart is there with you and Miyoko and Naomi. ❤️

My next door neighbour chose home Hospice care and it was excellent from the start. Anything she needed was brought to her house and her son and his wonderful S.O. stayed with her as other family members came and went. She was truly comfortable and surrounded by love and got to watch the birds each day (which she loved). We already miss her, but so glad she died peacefully.

I hope the Hospice experience is as good for you and that your loved ones are supported well.
We are here, and I will watch for updates from you and/or Naomi.

  4. I particularly love the topmost photo. Reminds me of the sort of thing Winslow Homer would have painted.
