  1. RFK Jr. is going to be a huge problem for Trump, new poll shows - Click
    From (ad)Advocacy newsletter:
"Sure, we're 13 months out from the 2024 general election, and any single poll should be taken with a proverbial grain of salt, but news that Kennedy, a virulent anti-vaxxer, conspiracy theorist, and QAnon flirt, will cut into the anti-vaxx, conspiracy-theory-loving base of Mr. MAGA himself should a) come as no surprise and b) raise all sorts of alarm bells in Trumpland."

    Via Talking Points Memo:

With the first trial in the big Georgia RICO case set to begin Monday, Atlanta DA Fani Willis is keeping it real:

She referenced Trump’s recent incendiary lie that she was in a relationship with a young gang member she was prosecuting.

“I think the craziest is I was sleeping with a gang-banger. I’m like, a 17-year-old? Like, what? I like them old! What are you talking about?” she said to laughter from the crowd, according to a recording obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

    2. *shrug* he can have as many votes as he wants, and watch his "majority" melt away.

  3. Oh YES! Powell had a lot to offer the Fulton County DA. [Click] Chesebro might even be able to plead his way out of a trial, I think.

  4. Having precipitated themselves into the political garburator, House Republicans are trying to swim back out of it. I could wish them good luck, but that would be gratuitous sarcasm.

    1. I'm so glad I voted for composting. Solves a ton of problems, and finished compost is a joy. Biggest problem I have is remembering to rake it down before solid freeze season occurs. One year (live and learn) I had to empty partially decomposed poop/etc into buckets though the top, and let it sit outside by the back steps till spring. I've had more fun. . . . But once every 25 years really isn't a bad record, lol!

  5. Wish me luck! I have just submitted my short story, "The Egg of Ninlil", as a candidate for inclusion in Three Ravens' anthology Heathens and Heroes. I expect it to be a month or two before I hear back.

This story is set in the same Four Lands universe as my novel The Whip of Abadur, which has also been submitted to Three Ravens, but aside from the involvement of Abadur Himself the connections are very limited.

    Thanks for persevering, Alan.

That mannequin story was a hoot!
Funny, but he looks nothing like the other mannequins, and he’s no Ken. Strange no one caught that sooner.
