Northern Lights over Malletts Bay, Vermont!

THIS is what was happening on Tuesday evening, right there at our boat,
Loch Nest, while I was home dealing with food poisoning!

  1. My parents told of seeing the Northern Lights once when I was very young, near Cape Mendocino on the California coast.

    1. That would have been in the late 1940's.

    2. I remember being dragged from bed and outside to see the Northern Lights. (SLC) A neighbor had seen them and woke a few, soon, everyone but the very tiny was outside. Happened a couple of times. Same as you, late forties. Never seen them since.

    3. We saw them multiple times out our back door when we lived a bit north of here in Fletcher, Vermont. We used to see them from our home here too, but the trees have gotten too tall now. Good to know all we need to do is head for the boat!

  2. Michael Cohen REACTS to Trump Lawyer BILLION DOLLAR SCREW UP [Click] This is so rich— Trump’s inexperienced young attorney from New Jersey failed to check the box requesting a jury trial on the NY state trial form, so he gets a bench trial (no jury) presided over by a judge who has not been friendly to him. It even influenced my dreams! (I dreamt of being in court, which is very unusual for me.) This probably foreshadows the demise of the Trump Organization.

    1. Didn't check a checkbox? Which law school is disowning this idiot? And, is he going in to get glasses? Not that he'll have long to enjoy them. Trump will probably strangle him with his bare hands. I would. And even if he doesn't, I can't imagine the kid has much of a future in Law.

  3. My niece is braving Hurricane Lee while out on Star Island! It's part of the Isle of Shoals, off the NH coast. She's an RN and spent the Summer as nurse for camps there. She decided to ride out the storm because she does NOT like a rough crossing and the waves were already getting dicey.

  4. Listener, I agree with your complaint about the media's drumbeat that Biden shouldn't run. It gives me a royal pain.

    1. We've seen this before too: Is so-and-so really "electable"?
Well, yeah, DUH, if people elect them they are!

    2. I get pissed off when anyone from DNC bigwigs to media commentators seem to think they get to decide for the rest of us and use their platform to force their agenda. Grrrr.

      ROCK THE VOTE!!!

  5. I find myself thinking about the problem finding a Fulton County courtroom big enough to accommodate a trial of all or almost all of the RICO defendants. It occurs to me that the gallery has been dramatically expanded by permitting TV broadcasts of the proceedings, and need not be nearly so large as is customary. The well (which includes tables and seating for attorneys and defendants) could be extended into the gallery space; it should be easy enough to remove the present seating and replace it with appropriate furniture.
