I’m listening to our Gov’s press conference. He just mentioned he is still considering a mask mandate. If our numbers go up and possibly once college students return and/or we are indoors more.
Here are today’s numbers:
Vermont: 1366 cases (+6) 56deaths (0x34days!) Now 162 active cases Recovered 1148 In Hospital = 3 ( 0) Tests 84,947 (+1079)
“Colleges Are Getting Ready to Blame Their Students” [Click] Under normal circumstances a gap year might not be a bad idea, but I suspect most traditional gap year activities will be foreclosed as a practical matter. Canada would be more difficult than normal too.
“A new American Research Group poll finds President Trump’s approval at a record low 36% to 60%.” Other and far more competent presidents have achieved approval rates of less than 30%. I hope that Trump will join, or maybe even surpass, them.
A new Cardinal Point Analytics poll in North Carolina finds Cal Cunningham (D) leading Sen. Thom Tillis (R) by three points, 47% to 44%. In the presidential race, Donald Trump edges Joe Biden by one point, 49% to 48%.
"Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, who has so far refused calls to issue a statewide mask mandate, warned Sunday that his state could become the next Florida — a current epicenter for coronavirus cases in the US.
"We are at the point where we could become Florida," DeWine said. "Where you look at our numbers today versus where Florida was a month ago, we have very similar numbers. So we're very, very concerned."
OHIO: As of Tuesday afternoon, there have been at least 77,215 confirmed or probable cases in the state, 3,219 deaths, and 9,736 hospitalizations, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
