This thread was posted a wee bit late, because I forgot I'd left the 13th blank when I was posting the usual photos. I wanted to post something Impeachment related here, of course, this being the big day when the hearings begin. Then I forgot to come back and do it! LOL!
So, is everyone else going to be watching, with me? What station have you chosen? I plan to watch and would prefer PBS. It's going to be shown on ABC, CBS, NBS, PBS, CNN and CSPAN 3, as well as CSPAN Radio, and live streamed at CSPAN.org. The only station that showed on their Guide they will be broadcasting it was CNN, so I set their version to tape, so Wil can see it after work.
I will mostly be doing some hand sewing, but will pause for a little popcorn too.
Watercolor class, grocery shopping and other things going on here. Will recharge camera battery for Friday (I don't trust myself to get decent photos with my cell phone). I figure it will all be discussed in the various online places I look at.
I used my gorgeous Treadle again on Tuesday. This was the first time I have had to wind a bobbin on this machine, as I needed to change the thread colour. When I went to sew, however, the thread tension was too strong. Knowing that this thread was a bit thinner than the previous thread, I assumed that was the culprit and consulted my handy dandy manual. It directed me to make the proper adjustments, but the tension issue persisted. I nearly lost it and gave up before I realized that DUH! (did you guess it Susan?) ... I had left the bobbin winder in place against the wheel instead of releasing it before sewing! LOL!! That changed everything back to perfection!! I lost an hour, but I still got the job done. :-)
Well then, I feel a little less silly. If someone of your sewing calibre didn't guess it, then maybe it's not such a foolish error. I am SO not mechanically-minded! I had to read the instructions in the manual EVERY time I attempted to adjust the tension to make sure I wasn't turning it in the wrong direction. That's why I have made the baby quilts all by hand, even the seams, before getting this treadle. (I call her 🌸Blossom🌸.)
Other work intervened in my day. I have four new consults since this morning--not to mention a couple more already in progress. When it rains, it pours.

No, I didn't guess it. I love treadles but haven't used one in more than 50 years. And I'm not very mechanically-minded.
