    1. Just saw on Facebook that Cheetolini's estate on St. Martins was destroyed by Irma.

    2. I have been looking forward to a report on just that thing, Susan; with photos! It's an ill wind that blows no good. On the other hand, not long ago he collected (and pocketed part of) seventeen megabucks for hurricane damage to Mar-a-Lago that no one remembers seeing, so the story goes. It sounds a trifle dubious, though--there are supposed to be such things as insurance adjusters.

    3. Here are some “before” pictures.[Click] And let’s spare a thought for Trumpy’s Florida golf courses; he just spent 250 megabucks refurbishing one of them. It occurs to me that an enterprising soul could make some money by selling, say, broken roofing tiles from Trump’s properties.

  2. BTW, I didn't see it myself when I was working as a short order cook, but I've heard that at least some restaurants substitute a double-yolked egg for two eggs--you can purchase them by the case.

  3. My local mom N pop has double yolkers, most of the time. Lotsa chicken houses around, and candling pulls out the doubles, which get sold locally.

When Nancy was raising big reds, more doubles from the youngsters whilst they were learning.

  4. It seems that http://www.palmbeachdailynews.com/weather/hurricanes/how-will-donald-trump-mar-lago-withstand-hurricane-matthew-winds/NsYTXidq4OhhYijJNRKK4K/Mar-a-Lago is very well built to withstand hurricanes.[Click] It appears that it is also included in the mandatory evacuation zone[Click] declared by the county.

    2. Maybe so, but Irma is a hurricane unlike any other. Besides, if that info comes from Trumplestein I wouldn't believe a word of it any way. We all know everything he has the is biggest, the best and the most impressive, believe me.

    3. I must say that those stories out of Barbados about shipping containers flying around were impressive, and evidently they didn't get the full force of the hurricane. That's more like a monster tornado.

  5. My friend who lives on the beach in the Dominican Republic, headed for the mountains, and is fine. As is most of the rest of the island. For sure Haiti didn't need this.

    1. Haiti has had more than its fair share of misfortune. Glad your friend is OK.
