On the NHK news this morning I caught a clip of DJT speechifying in Israel, and was struck by what a remarkably poor job he did of reading a Teleprompter statement; to say that his delivery was not competent is a dramatic understatement—it was childish. And just now I read THIS.[Click] 25th Amendment time, anyone?
The article focuses on one (establishment-aligned) think tank and others outside the party apparatus. For the party as a whole, things are still in flux and there are no guarantees. But IMHO, there is a very good chance he is right.
PhD*Son leaves at 5am for Alaska (above the Arctic Circle), for about 6 weeks. They'll get in the field in about a week, after they have the rifle refresher course (due to polar bears) and get the last of their supplies in order. We wish him the very best experience yet and hope he tags many Dunlins, Semi-palmated Sandpipers and Golden Plovers! You can follow his adventures here: http://shorebirdscience.org/#blogtitle_box
Littlest*Grand's best buddy, 16 months old, managed to fall out of a second floor window and land on pavement. They ambulanced him to the hospital and did a ton of tests and ... he's fine!! Didn't even need stitches. No broken bones. Amazing!! Probably didn't hurt that both of his parents are priests. :-D
And! Tomorrow is the closing on Root*Center*Son's house!! Whoo hoo!
