Ugh. I think I'm going to have to leave my comfort zone again, and I HATE that. There's a protest downtown outside Rep. Mike Turner's office to protest the Muslim ban. I truly am an introvert and I really hate doing this. At the same time I feel an equal and opposite feeling that I MUST do this.
I did go to the Dayton Indivisible for All meeting this past Thursday night. They expected 40 people, but 75 of us showed up.
Where the hell are the authorities? Steve Bannon is Acting President. He's writing the Executive Orders. He's overruling DHS! On what authority? He wasn't on the ballot. Cheetolini is so forking lazy that he just wants the "glory" and turns Bannon loose on us to turn what used to be a democracy into a totalitarian state. And everyone who could stop it remains silent.
From talkingpointsmemo.com: "Some day soon Republicans will realize they face an election in two years as the standardbearers and enablers of extremely unpopular president. (I also hope Democrats will realize this. Jury is still out.) Recent polls show President Trump's approval rating in the mid- to high 30s. That's just the first week. He's barely started. But this is almost always the high point. And the President's party almost always faces losses in the first mid-term in any case."
Just some headlines from The Guardian's US edition:
