Ayup, looks like a pretty subversive type, he does. Prob'ly the sort to endorse that Sanders fella, I'd warrant.
On a slightly more serious note, it is interesting to see how our system of government representation can have occasional odd results. Rep. Welch has to stand for election state-wide, as do your senators and governor. At the other extreme are the Representatives from Los Angeles County--for them it is a significant step up to gain election to the county Board of Supervisors, which has fewer members!
Indeed, Alan. Peter is the one elected official VT super delegate who says he will vote for Bernie. Leahy, our current governor and Dean all say they will vote for Hillary. The people of Vermont are furious!! Peter simply started out doing the right thing. He's great.

“Democrats could hardly believe their good fortune last month when it became clear that Hillary Clinton was headed to a general election showdown with Donald Trump. Mr. Trump carried so much baggage and had insulted so many voting blocs that some Clinton supporters began to imagine a landslide,” the New York Times reports.
“But early optimism that this would be an easy race is evaporating. In the corridors of Congress, on airplane shuttles between New York and Washington, at donor gatherings and on conference calls, anxiety is spreading through the Democratic Party that Mrs. Clinton is struggling to find her footing.”
“While she enjoys many demographic advantages heading into the fall, key Democrats say they are growing worried that her campaign has not determined how to combat her unpredictable, often wily Republican rival, to whom criticism seldom sticks and rules of decorum seem not to apply.” =============
By the end of the day (Saturday) I hadn't made my rally sign, and felt too tired to trust myself with an Exacto knife. But I have the lettering sized and printed out. Tomorrow morning! Then off to the rally around 2:00 PM in hopes of being among the first five thousand. Report will ensue.
Thanks, puddle; I intend to; been waiting thirty-two years for a candidate something like Bernie. Starting to letter rally sign momentarily. Will be standing in line during the hottest part of the day, but will be reasonably well equipped. No tear gas or other rudeness anticipated. (I had a whiff of tear gas back about 1968--not nice.)
Yesterday, big scare. Some kind of giant wasp arrived, trying to dive into my computer screen. Found my fogger, and zapped him, at close hand. He just kept crawling away even under the weight of the foam. Finally smashed him with the can. One anaphylactic shock episode, twice shy. This guy was bigger than any I've ever seen or dreamed of. Have NO idea what it was, never want to see another.
That said, went to Amazon looking for a better killer. Found there are people who use raid and hot shot to kill flies and moths. (And they vote. Ergo, Trump.)
All the tiny creatures are trying to get in out of the heat. That makes it hard because I can't exactly scoop them up and take them outside. So I've had to do some mush and flush maneuvers, and I really dislike doing that. :-(
But! The big spider in the bathroom by morning got away, and revisited me as I was brushing my teeth before bed. Arrrrrrrhhhhhh!! I hate it when that happens! At least it didn't get away that time. (Note to self: a fresh TP roll makes a great impromptu spider musher.) Then I opened the little case to take out my night guard and there was some sort of bug in there!! Arrrrhhhhhh!! HOW did it get into the closed case?! I thought in my surprise that it was a large dog tick, too, and that really grossed me out. After I had disposed of it properly, I realised it had to have been a little bit too large to be a tick. So there I was late at night googling bugs! Ha! I now believe it was a weevil of sorts. It still was NOT welcome to hang out in my nigh guard case! Despite giving it a good scrubbing, I was just not able to put the night guard into my mouth last night. Ha!
While waiting for Alan: (Can you see any YouTube videos, puddle?) In this video, a soft-spoken Bernie supporter holds her own against a smug Hillary supporter and media person who tries to give the last word to the Hillary supporter. Quality! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jg858XOTh_c
As I said in the comments, though, the use of obscenity and abusive language by those who oppose HRC is counterproductive. It makes the commenters sound like Trump supporters or Clinton supporters. Believe me, I understand the anger - HRC has a knack for raising my blood pressure. But we really need to be above name calling and cheep schoolyard invective. Bernie's better than that, and we have to be better than that.
No doubt my plea will draw down an avalanche of obscenity on me. But I had to try.
