How the Political and Media Establishment Got 2016 So Wrong [Click] “Perhaps the biggest story coming out of campaign 2016 is not the rise of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, but the fact that the media and political establishment never saw it coming. And the fact that they never saw it coming perfectly explains the rise of Sanders and Trump. And here's why: the economic and social wreckage wrought by the Great Recession of 2007-2009, which flat lined the lives and aspirations of so many, barely registered on the lifestyle Richter scale of media and political heavies.”
Couldn't get to sleep until 3:30am, then Mizzen-cat woke me from a sound sleep at 7:00am trying to tunnel under our bedroom door. (It has never worked, so why does she persist?) Our son usually gets up for work around then and shooes her away, but this was his day to work a later shift. So I had to get up and shoo her away, then couldn't get back to sleep. Of course, this would be the day I was to pick up VT*Grand for an overnight. Heh. She is now asleep and I won't be long behind. Ha! Tomorrow's gonna be a better day…!!!
BTW, she and her Mom and I went to the VT Teddy Bear Factory for the tour. I took younger Maine Grand in December, but VT*Grand's mom actually works there and this is school vacation week. It was fun! I saw some really amazing bears.
Howard's foist!
ReplyDeleteWish my rain had done that good of a job cleaning up my snow, lol! All I got was a LOT of very wet snow and a flood!
This sounds about right...
