All went smoothly for Sis this morning as far as logistics went. The radiologist told her though that she needed a lumpectomy, not another biopsy. He himself talked to the doctor's office and got everything sorted out, knock on wood! So, all the worry and trouble of getting there today was for naught.
that damned doctor's office makes a lot of mistakes; mix ups with prescriptions, a previous mix up with Sis about this lump, just ongoing one thing after another. Like Sis says, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. But when I suggested it might be time to look for yet another doctor, Sis was unenthused. It is a hastle, and this place is pleasant enough. But if the front office can't do its job, seems to me pretty much inevitable that something really bad is going to happen eventually.
I can sympathize with your sister, Cat; I hate doctor shopping with a purple passion. That's one of the things I really like about Kaiser; if luck of the draw doesn't give one a doctor to one's liking, one can change any time, no problem, no questions asked. And it's mostly under a single roof--like a huge polyclinic. Hope things continue to go all right.
I was lucky that when it came time to choose a new doctor our local hospital had posted bios of their affiliated docs on their web site. The one who said things that resonated with me turned out to indeed be a perfect fit.
Dog Home Safe-Thank You! I just wanted to write and express my gratitude to Linda, who took my energetic 10-year-old golden retriever late last night and this morning. Additionally I also want to thank everybody who responded to my FPF post and additionally my Facebook post I put up on four different sites. I really appreciate being such a part of an amazing community. SAMMY is exhausted from his journey and is sleeping like a little pup. Again thank you all!
Howard is a high flyer.
