While I am still interested in your writing adventures, I am bummed to find that the writing guidelines, formats and process ~ even that we right left to right ~ is all slated for right handers. It makes me want to invent a new method of writing that works equally well for either handedness.
Today was one of those days when little went right, at least until around 4pm. I did major battle with the printer, which was being finicky about printing straight then stalled at one point: wouldn't cancel the print job, wouldn't shut down, made no movement or sound even when opened or closed, though the lights were on, so it definitely had power. I began to unearth the other printer to move to that possibility (all the while under a looming deadline for the cards I was attempting to create), when the first printer finally came back to life. =Whew!= The owner of the shop I was making Gift Certificates for was due any moment to come to the house and pick them up, too. I made it with literally 15 seconds to spare!!
In the midst of the print job, I was thinking about and praying for my dearest friend's good friend who was having surgery. She is the young mom of three young kids. While she had breast cancer a year ago (bilateral mastectomy), her husband left her. She had just gotten to the point of having two whole months with no doctor appointments, when she noticed a lymph node issue and was diagnosed last month with colon cancer metastasized to the liver, apparently unrelated to the breast cancer. I have never met her, though we have communicated. When I got the news that her surgeries today were quite successful, I burst into tears of relief and joy! I was so surprised by the tears. May she heal well and swiftly!!
That's not a husband, it's a rat. Actually, it's not fair to so denigrate a rat. I sure hope the news stays good--she has had more than her fair share of the other kind.
Whether it's Friday or Saturday, Howard is still first.
We had our first winter storm last night and today. About 3" of snow here, more in the northern suburbs. It was just above freezing most of the day but has now fallen to 24F. This is a bit on the early side for more than a dusting of snow, but not spectacularly so.
Vivat Dean! And on another subject altogether, here is some chiton news! [Click]

Thanks, Bill, for holding the place for Saturday! I rectified things at the last. :-)
