True dat! I'm thinking it's a lot easier for Bernie to launch his style campaign thanks to the groundwork done by Howard Dean (and all of us) and Barack Obama (and most of us). Had society today's comprehension and social media back in 2004, I think Howard could have won it.
Absolutely! There would be no Pres. Obama without Dean For America. And though Bernie has always been Bernie, he would have a much harder time now if Howard hadn't run.
Sooo, Demetrius, how about designing us some Bernie Bucks, based on your elegant Dean Dollars. Maybe you could put in Rosie at bat, too. :-) Let us know what you need.
Purely my own idear: Perhaps we could conspire to each send a few (real) dollars Demetrius' way to help compensate him for his time? Just one idea. The address can be found on here: http://cgc.bmgbiz.net/CGCvita.html
Last night I started The Witches by Rold Dahl(sp?). Since I was in my late teens when it came out, the idea of reading it never crossed my mind. But I've seen it mentioned from time to time and decided to check it out. And before so much as finishing it, I wrote a quiz. There's something called Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse Maker, a magical potion that, when ingested by a child, turns her or him into a mouse after a time delay. The two chapters about it are completely self-contained. And, well, I was intrigued. The Children's Literature section contains enough quizzes on The Witches for it to have its own subsection. But I found no quiz specifically on Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse Maker. So I'm hopeful that my quiz will be accepted.
You could get a job at any library helping people who need ideas about what to read. You have read so much and you retain excellent detail. I'm sure you would be very helpful. If you lived near here we'd set you up with your own booth, and a Lucy of Peanuts sign up top that reads "Advice 5 cents" or some such thing. :-)
LOL Well, I donno about that. You guys are the only ones interested in what I'm reading. My sister turns up her nose, no matter what it is, as do Mum and Dad. And I haven't read any of the in things, like all those ridiculous zombi novels or The Hunger Games. Thanks for the vote of confidence though.
Howard's foist, munny or no munny!

DeleteAbsolutely, listener--the Dean team were trailbreakers.

DeleteAnd I'll chime in too. Before Howard no one believed you could raise big bucks from small donors.

ReplyDeleteI connected with Demetrius, who says he may have some time later this week. :-D

ReplyDeleteGasp! Shades of Howard Dean's 50-state plan…might we see Bernie here in Fresno? The mind boggles...
