Well, I wrote in Howard Dean and Carole Mosley Braun (she of the thousand-watt smile) when I couldn't fill in a bubble for them. When I get a little money ahead I think I will send Bernie a little love. I was just now watching some videos of Mhairi Black--a VERY good orator, only twenty years old, on track to be the youngest member of the UK Parliament since 1666--after she knocks out one of the Labour Party's biggest guns. The Labour Party seems to have gone the same route as the US Democratic Party (from where I sit, anyway)--coasting to the right and ignoring their base on the principle that their natural core voters will never vote for anyone else because they will never *have* anyone else to vote for. The day may yet come, in a way dictated by the peculiarities of our political system, and I hope to see it. In the meantime I will take pleasure in seeing such things happen elsewhere.
Mhairi Black, George Square in Glasgow, after the failure of the Scots independence referendum [Click] Unless my old ears are playing me false, she pronounces her given name "MAY-ree," which I gather is the original English pronunciation of Mary. This seems to be her stump speech. It's good old-fashioned oratory, which doesn't come without serious study and hard work. I wonder whether it is part of the formal undergraduate degree program in politics at Glasgow University or her own initiative; if the latter it is a particularly good omen for a political career.

Here's where to get your Bernie Sanders tee shirt. I ordered mine in white because I think the flag looks better that way. :-)
