I figure a lot of Mums liked Howard Dean....Dads and kiddos too...
listener9/24/2014 09:53:00 PM ALAN!! SPOT ON!!! How on Earth did you know that?! Well, you did post other photos of the Ticonderoga; All those tubes to the right must be to carry hot gases, and it sure wouldn't work as a firebox. It makes sense that there would be an inspection port, to check on crud from the fuel clogging the heat exchanger pipes. Also to check for leaks in the heat exchanger pipes.

P.S. Currently listening to my Jo Ann Kelly album ("Black Rat Swing"). Absolutely wonderful music. Don't sound like no limey, that's certain sure.
Got my DVD of Sherlock, Season one - so I know what I'll be doing as I knit. I worked really hard all day on 5 hours of sleep. I think I am a long-lost Collyer sister and my "stuff" has gotten really out of hand. Spent the day sorting, tossing and filling the thrift store bin. I'm probably 2% finished with the amount left to deal with. I like far too many activities; sewing, knitting, toy-making, cooking, reading and baking. And each of those activities bring their own "stuff" to the party. I haven't made any miniatures since 2002, but I just can't bring myself to get rid of my "supplies". I'm edging toward biting the bullet, but will need a little more time to build my resolve.
Nice day here--actually cool with a lot of clouds, and clear air (a weather front passed through and shoved out the dirty air). And I got off work at five PM! Much better than the previous two nights… Tomorrow I ought to be able to knock out most of the work I left.
Hallo all. Thursday was just packed, between work and lunch with my friend who just completed two years in the Peace Corps in Ghana. I sure learned a lot! Too tired to write of it tonight.
