Will be leaving for the convention slightly later than planned (by an hour). A contractor is coming over to check out the stucco work we need before we get the new roof, (Third estimate for the root should arrive Monday or Tuesday.)
Angel remains much the same: Drinking but not eating, up and about a bit, using the potty. I think everybody knows she can't go on like this much longer, but Dad refuses to give up hope. That's almost worse than Angel's condition.
Meanwhile, not to gross everyone out, but I'm rather worried about myself. It's the tenth day and I'm still bleeding heavily. As a very young girl I sometimes had my period for as long as seven days, but that was unusual, and it hasn't happened in thirty or more years. Lately it's been about four days. So, I started fretting just a bit by the fifth day. No doubt this is just one of those erratic things that happens in one's late forties. Still, it's troubling. Besides, it saps my strength.
We don't have the sort of health service that takes walk-ins - I'd have to make an appointment, so that's useless. It clearly is not an emergency, so the ER is out. I'll just have to muddle through. Chris and John and the girls are coming Sunday, so I hope I'm feeling perkier, not to mention bleeding less heavily by then!
Na. It's no big deal, just a bother. If Mum were her old self I'd talk to her about it and try to get in to the doctor, but I haven't even told her. It would upset her and she'd say she didn't want me going to the doctor. *shrug* I'll be all right. But thanks so much for the concern♥ Thanks on Angel's behalf too!
Forgot to say, Dad is currently the only driver in the house. I won't make him go out, away from Angel. She is the most important consideration right now.
Cat, look online and see if you have any of the symptoms of anemia. If you do, the blood loss might be more of a concern than you're thinking. I'll private-message you on Facebook because I have some experience with this topic. Sending love for all concerns!! ♥
looney_tunes must be very busy - she hasn't cleared or otherwise contacted me about my quiz on Sharon Shinn's The Twelve Houses series. I should have sent the music quiz to Agony when she offered to sneak it in. Waiting is so hard!
Any way you get there…Dean is First!
ReplyDeleteThe Philippines is being raked over by Category 5 Super Typhoon Haiyan. Here's an impressive video:
