Gosh! You take care down there today, Miss puddle!
And it wasn't Housman, per se; "three score and ten" is also referred to as "the Bible limit." so I guess you're living on Grace. Of course, so are the rest of us. ;-)
Lol! I knew it was Biblical, grin. For years, I changed the numbers to fit my age -- e.g., Now of my three score years and ten, fifty will not come again. . . And since to look at things in bloom, twenty years are little room. . . . Didn't notice till just now that I'd run out. . . .
But I have *great* genes, from at least one side of the family -- and a terrific example: my mother's mother's mother married a man 23 years her junior when she was 72. They were married for twenty five, and she out lived him. She died at 98, and family romance has it that she caught pneumonia chopping firewood in the orchard. . . .
Have moved the car up the hill, so as my neighbor Nancy reminded me this morning, we won't get big weather. And thanked me in advance for moving it, lol!
Well, the ploy of moving the car up, and the wheelbarrow etc out of harm's way seems to have worked. The last of the big bad storms have passed, and no more look to be on the way. Another bullet dodged, lol!
Got room for one more prayer? Sweetie's younger sister's partner has been diagnosed with cancer (Esophageal). And...sister's first partner died of cancer. :-( This is just terrible. It sure seems like we're getting an awful lot of death events this season. I'd say "Where do I go to complain?" but I already know.
Howie's Foist!!
ReplyDeleteBig weather day today. Maybe up to and including tornadoes. Funsies. And bless the newly planted tomato plants!
