The first part of this video is the song that I mean, "Old Friends." Very nice, but I'm still annoyed at not being able to find Michael Feinstein's version. YouTube doesn't often let me down. But when it does, it's quite a disappointment.

  3. I like Paul Simon's tune about old friends called Bookends. :-)

More messages left on the last thread. Thanks everyone.

What I most need to carry over to this thread because it's time critical is:
Where does one purchase lavender water??

I am most grateful for all the idears!!!

  10. Hi.

I thought that comment in the last thread got flagged because it contained a link, but other links went through. Maybe it's a matter of how many you post.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah...it sounds familiar that posting too many links causes problems.

  12. I just found out what I need to do to add moderators.

I would need to upgrade to Echo "Pro", which costs $100 a month.

    I don't frakking think so.

  13. Yikes! Didn't know chocolate could mess up one's plumbing.

Now, me, I find that chocolate can make me sleepy, especially dark chocolate which is, of course, the type I prefer. How something reputedly caffeine-laden can make a person sleepy is beyond me, but there it is. Maybe it's the sugar content rather the the chocolate?

  14. Black CherryPepsi is fine!

But don't drink and drive. Especially if you're wearing an aqua dress and sweater. . . . Just saying. . . .

  15. :-D
(But I'm guessing you didn't mean to say it twice.)

  16. Those people are fricking krezzy! They don't even provide a working system as is. I'm on plenty of boards that are outright FREE, that work better than Echo, lol! And ones that have moderators, too. But we haven't really *needed* a moderator in a long long time.

  17. Since my dress for the wedding is Aqua (silk!) I will be sure not to bring along any Cherry Pepsi! LOL! Sure hope your outfit is washable!!

  19. Nope. And thank you.

  20. That's what's the pits: they were both just washed, and line dried, and looked lovely. Now back in the wash, and black cherry is *hard* to get out. Sorta like grape jello that's been frooped by your four year old on your new white rug. . . .

  21. I highly recommend using "Shout" on it!!! It gets out all sorts of stuff nothing else does and I've never known it to harm a fabric.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Soaking it in Clorox II is another option. But I'd try Shout first.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Also, you might want to try COLD water wash first, so you don't set the stain further.

  24. Black cherry Pepsi sounds nice...though not on clothes!

I don't think so either. I can imagine situations in which it would be worth it, but that isn't us.

Sort of like I use the free version of Quickbooks for the Disability Pride Parade. It's easy to see that most businesses would want the features such as vendor and customer lists that the upgrades provide. But since we have netierh regular vendors nor customers, they offer no advantage for us.
