Of the 5 Democratic candidates for Governor, 4 of them are neck and neck! The polls are useless right now, and phoning the "likely to vote in the Primary" voters is turning up mostly undecided voters. Anything could happen.
We were at Doug Racine HQ yesterday working on some database stuff, and Doug was there. He came over to Hubby and said quite sincerely, "I'm glad to see you're feeling better." We didn't even know he knew Hubby had been sick!
Doug Racine is the best candidate and we really need him. But this one's going to be a real cliff hanger.
Main thing going on (other than the work ahead of me) is that my internet/cable TV got fixed. Mostly involved replacing most of the innards in the box outside where the cables come in.
I'm getting more and more excited about the trip to Australia. I now know when the panel I'll be on at Aussiecon will be and who will be on it with me. One of my fellow panelists will be a Norwegian I got to know in Denver (2008). This will be the third time in four years we have been on a Worldcon panel together. Montreal (2009) broke the string, although we saw each other there.
I don't think I've mentioned that I am now officially part of the staff for the 2011 Worldcon in Reno. Working on disability services. And I see that the department head I will be reporting to will be on the post-con tour with me, along with the division head she reports to.
Howie's foist!
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck all you Vermonter's in getting your hearts' wishes on Tuesday!
Thanks, puddle! ♥

Nothing much going on, and nothing much to say. Just thought I'd register my presence.
ReplyDeleteA grey, quiet sort of day here, almost chilly. Really rather nice.
