  2. Foggy at the moment (0740 hrs). No frost, rain, or high winds in the ten-day weather prediction. Temperatures to rise through the 60's during the next three days or so, then into the 70's. We finished pruning our fruit trees yesterday. The modest amounts of enteric-coated aspirin I am taking definitely seem to be helping ; I am thinking of increasing my dosage by two per day, but not sure what time would work well.

    1. Turns out the plane was hit by a downburst as it was close to landing. It ripped off one wing and the wind caught the other, flipping the plane. The landing gear may have collapsed due to the motion and power of the downburst.

“Cecil Graham: What is a cynic?
Lord Darlington: A man who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing.
Cecil Graham: And a sentimentalist, my dear Darlington, is a man who sees an absurd value in everything and doesn’t know the market price of any single thing.”

  9. Washington Post cancels ad from groups calling for Trump to fire Musk
NYT: An advertisement that was set to run in some editions of The Washington Post on Tuesday calling for Elon Musk to be fired from his role in government was abruptly canceled, according to one of the advocacy groups that had ordered the ad.
Common Cause said it was told by the newspaper Friday that the ad was being pulled.
Although it is unclear who made the decision to pull the ad or why, the move comes amid growing concern about the changing mission of The Washington Post newsroom under the ownership of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. The newspaper’s decision last fall to end its long-standing tradition of presidential endorsements and Bezos’ front-row seat at President Donald Trump’s inauguration have led some to wonder whether the news organization has been accommodating a Trump administration. -- nordy

    1. You're quite welcome! There is also a "Buy Nothing From Amazon" WEEK March 7th-14th. Of course, that's my *every* week! There is also a NO WORK DAY on March 14th, when people are just supposed to not show up for work. I imagine that will be impossible for some...like nurses and surgeons and more. Lives would be in danger. But if it can be done safely, I'm all for it. Wil has a small software business and he is planning to honour it.

  12. I don't know if it will help, but I changed my password in my Social Security account tonight. I think I may do that weekly. It's a fun way to leave little messages that the Muckers might come across. Ha!
