“We have Trump and his oligarchy of ignorant shoe shiners vandalizing the network of organizations, agreements and values—largely put in place by America since the Second World War—which have given most of us, including America, on the whole an extraordinary degree of peace and prosperity… I love America and was once happy to regard its president as leader of the free world. Not any longer. Where are the American values that I used to admire?”

    — Chris Patten, former chairman of the British Conservative Party, quoted by the New York Times.

    1. Waiting until later to litigate this means we've lost everything! By the time the courts decide anything they'll already have all our information on backup drives. It's over.

    1. I've been having that thought too. A year ago she was in hospital. I still have, on my phone, her last message to me on January 13th last year. She is still present among us in some ways, of course. I think of her EVERY TIME I create a link, because she taught me how!

  11. According to recent polling, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is actually more popular in the U.S. than Donald Trump.

A February 2025 poll found that 47% of Americans view Zelenskyy favorably, while Trump’s approval rating sits at 45%. Meanwhile, only 28% of Americans view Zelenskyy unfavorably—a significantly lower disapproval than Trump’s 51%.
