Rather True!

  1. I don't know how it's going in other parts of the country, but here in Ohio we had no mail delivery for a week. That was partly due to the weather, but what other factors? I don't know. I sent boxes to my Favorite Daughter in NY on 1/10 that were supposed to be delivered on 1/13. They're just getting delivered TODAY, and - let me check - oh yes, today is 1/16. Postmaster Louis DeJoy has gummed up the works as much as he could and now, with Velveeta Voldemort (love that and stealing it) he'll continue to privatize the PO. I talk to the carriers, they hate him, the managers hate him, but he's in control. I'm embroidering a qr code that says "Fire DeJoy", but I haven't finished it. Hate him with the fires of a thousand suns. ~Susan

    1. No noticeable disruptions in mail service out here in central California, but the new electric mail delivery vans that DeJoy tried to get manufactured by his business associates have not appeared.

    2. Mail delivery has been a disaster here for well over a year. It's very spotty. They can't keep carriers, either, so are always short staffed. (The USPO used to have wonderful benefits that have been reduced.) Yes, they all hate DeJoy. Packages are so routinely misdelivered that the locals email through Front Porch Forum to alert one another when something has gone astray or has turned up somewhere unintended. We just pass things to each other as needed. But you just KNOW things are getting lost, stolen or arrive too late to be useful. I sure do wish someone would fire him and replace him with competence. But there's no hope of that now with V.V. coming into power.

    1. Yes, and I can read an analog clock too!
When I worked at the Library, middle schoolers would come in, look up at the big analog clock and ask us, "What time is it?" We taught them!

Of course, with Atkins coming in as head of the SEC, Musk will probably get off.
