King of the Universe

We know from Scripture that the First Person of the Most Holy Trinity, the Creator, made all things through the Second Person, the Redeemer, by the power of the Third Person, the Holy Spirit, the Breath of Love, who is the Paraclete or Helper. Today the Church recognizes that the Redeemer is also King of the Universe. Naturally, as a Science Fiction enthusiast, I find this notion intriguing. It affirms the notion promulgated in so much SF that all things, from the mightiest star to the tiniest microbe, from the beginning of the universe to its end, are akin. If there are life forms on other planets and in distant galaxies, or if there aren't, still all creation is united in serving one Monarch, whose decree is "Love one another." This is a comforting thought, especially as we face such dark days.

    1. Alan, you must have been trying to click through while I was mucking about trying to fix my mistake. No luck, but now you can indeed click through to the original image. Sorry!

    2. Okay! Got it. Phew! Finally did what I should have done to begin with; namely, downloaded the image to my computer and uploaded it to the blog. I'm terribly sorry to be so inept!

    3. Cat, you are light years ahead of me in computer skills, so don't feel the need to apologize. I could not begin to do what you are doing, so rock on.

  3. Puddle--I don't recall how many of the First Ladies' Detective Agency series I read, but they are very nice light reading.

    1. I don't forget. The Lord of infinite space is equally the Lord of subatomic particles. He is, necessarily, outside His creation and perceives it as a whole, whereas from within it, we creatures can only perceive it in parts of various kinds. To Him, doubtless a quark is as important and precious as a quasar.

Cut back some old rose bushes this afternoon; light rainfall after dark. And now I had better get to work on some consulting.

    2. I rather liked it myself, Cat; thanks for the feedback. And that galaxy looks for all the world (hmmm...odd expression, considering) like it is rocket-propelled! The proffered explanation is fascinating.

P.S.: The consulting jobs were very simple--too little work to charge for. Just police and lab reports to read, then give the attorneys (public defenders both) informal verbal opinions. Easy-peasy.

P.P.S.: I've had a mild, non-productive cough for a week or so; the air is clean enough now, but mold counts remain very high--I expect that is the cause.
