View From the Barn

Painted by listener this Summer, this was delivered on Saturday,
as a gift for Eldest and his family, on the 10th Anniversary
of them moving to their dream farm.

    2. I think so? I hope so. We brought it by and their response was nice, but they didn't actually seem surprised, which mystified me. The most feedback I've had is that people seem to like the "perspective" ~ though I wish I knew something more about what folks mean by that; are they referring to perspective in the mechanical aspect of drawing or the general view or that I did it from inside the barn, or what exactly? Ha! Anyway, no one has run from it screaming, so I guess that's a plus.

  4. I saw JD Vance on "Meet the Press" this morning. He denied that Trump intends to impose a nationwide abortion ban, although that's exactly what Trump has said he would do. This infuriated Elizabeth Warren, who followed Vance as a guest on the show.
“American women are not stupid, and we are not going to trust the futures of our daughters and granddaughters to two men who have openly bragged about blocking access to abortion for women all across this country," Warren said. --nordy

  7. I can't locate it at the moment, but this morning I saw a story about how Russia was paying high wages to hire oil refinery workers, but now that Ukraine has shown they can and will strike probably any refinery in European Russia, significant numbers of those workers are leaving.
