Apple Time!

  1. I miss the gravenstein apples; but their season was short. Wonderful for cider and applesauce, and good for eating too. When I was young we lived near an area well known for growing them; it was said their taste was particularly good because they were grown without irrigation. Most of those orchards are now vineyards.
