  1. Well, we made it from Kennebunk to I-89N, and so far we have skidded with anti-lock brakes through a red light, passed a fender bender and saw a serious traffic backup at the intersection of I-93 & I-89. The snow witches give the road a lava lamp effect, and black ice is definitely an issue. If anyone has info about roadways in VT, please post.

  2. Okay, now it's getting really dicey. SUV upsidedown in the median; emergency vehicles on scene. I-89N mile marker 17. Traffic is going about 35mph.

  3. Got better as we approached our exit. Dropping off Root Center Son at the park and ride and now have ten more minutes 'til home!

  4. Somehow or other, between last night and today, I got logged out of absolutely all my accounts, FB, Twitter, all my Google accounts including YouTube... What on earth happened? It's a miracle I could remember all my different log ins! Most disturbing.

    1. My experience is that I get looged out of this or that every so often for no discernible reason. That includes the Google account I use for my ID hear. So far as possible I try to use the same log-in for everything.

    2. So do I, but it's not always possible.

In addition to the accounts listed above, I also got logged out of Library Thing and RYM. Literally *everything*! I didn't try Audible. Better go check that and log back in while I'm thinking of it or else, next time I go there, I won't know why I'm not logged in.

Yeah, it happens every once in a while to me too, just not usually *everywhere* I have accounts all at once.

  5. Fairly nice weather out here. I began reading "The Well at the World's End" by William Morris (I have his "Wood Beyond the World" as well, both long out of print and for free on my Kindle). He is said to have been a significant influence on JRR Tolkien, and so far it is a fun read, despite the seemingly rather hokey pseudo-archaic English. (It IS adding to my vocabulary, which by itself classifies it as fun IMO.)

My take on gun control laws is that we regulate (as an example) fishing equipment. It's agains the law to use fish traps, fish poison, nets, dynamite or telephone magnetos to catch trout. So why not limit non-police to muzzle-loading firearms, just as the Founding Fathers envisioned?
