  1. Howard is first in this neck of the woods!

Today I had something of a first; first time I ever read an attorney's brief that was written at the high school (maybe 10th grade) level. Definitely not at the college graduate or even college sophomore level. Not at the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) college entrance level. She seems to be a native English speaker. I checked and found she graduated from a very reputable law school (Hastings, in San Francisco, part of the UC system). And she is a United Sates Attorney! I wondered out loud to my wife if perhaps she were a Republican appointee... I am still shocked.

  3. Came home from work exhaustified today, and have been just sitting with my feet up hoping my feet and legs won't hurt too much longer. I need to go to sleep now, but at least I got photos for the coming week for the blog all posted up and scheduled.

  4. OMGosh! I just read about Charlie!!

What is it with those jerks in Alachua??!! Can't they leave the guy alone?

I hope the judge has more sense.

Notes on the last thread for you, donna, Alan, and Hannah! ♥

listener, the judge is one of 'them.' One can only hope that Charlie will prevail. And I don't think he will ever leave Florida as long as his parents are alive.

  6. Absolutely gorgeous day here: lots of sun, perfectly blue skies, warmish winds. Also the first of about five days, so far, in this window. Betcha my spring starts running in here somewheres.

  7. Well, we just found out that our friend Jack's biopsy results revealed that his brain tumor is an aggressive, diffuse bilateral malignant
glioblastoma deep inside his brain. It is inoperable. After much consideration, they are thinking of not using treatments. This is the same cancer that Ted Kennedy had. Average life expectancy is about 15months. I doubt that Jack has that long as his tumor is already 3-4" in size, and is affecting his memory a bit. I believe Jack is about 62 years old. Jack's wife Pat is a very dear old friend of mine...we go back 33 years. We were La Leche League leaders together and home schooled our same-age tribes of 5 children each, keeping close tabs. I'll be there for her. Thanks for any good vibes you can send. ♥
