  2. Just read about Jack, listener---bummer. Glad you will be there for them, but you take care of yourself, too, hear? A person can only do so much. And thanks, I definitely felt better today. It just seems to be a one-day thing, for others as well as myself.

Spring may be in the air in Vermont, but something stinks in Florida. This came from Grapski Defense today:

"Charlie has been held in the Osceola County Jail since his arrest at home at 7 am Friday morning for an alleged parole violation. It isn't known how long they will hold him before transferring him to Alachua County, where he will presumably be given a hearing.

Assistant State Attorney Geoffrey Fleck reportedly offered to approve his release if Charlie would confess to the probation violation and admit to smoking marijuana. Charlie refused all plea deals that require confession to a crime he didn't commit, and he is adamant that he has has been living with his parents on virtual house arrest and has not used marijuana or any other illegal drug.

TELEPHONE CALLS TO THE OSCEOLA COUNTY JAIL TO INQUIRE ABOUT CHARLIE'S STATUS WILL HELP TO ENSURE HIS SAFETY AND LET HIS JAILERS KNOW HE HAS SUPPORT AND PEOPLE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT HIM.

    Osceola County Jail 407-348-1180"

Please make the call if you can.

They don't make it easy to support Charlie. When I called there was a message stating that the number for the Osceola Jail has been changed to 407-742-4444.

Nothing but voice mail hell and there is no way to leave a message. Finally I left one with the chaplain's office (press 6.)

  7. Fifty and bright here today. First fifty of the year, I think. Wonderful and I'm certain the peepers are grateful, since their debut is only a couple of weeks off.

  8. donna ... I'm happy to call. Are they there on the weekends or is Monday better for getting through?

    The creeps.

  9. Thank-you, Alan. Spot on. This really does require taking care of myself too. And you all just made that a little easier. I woke up this morning having had a very vivid dream of being at Pat & Jack's house and their 3 young adult daughters were home. Everyone was being so sweet and brave and funny, but when our eyes would meet for a few seconds they'd share a brief look of anguish with me. When I got home from work I just had time to peek in here before having to go out. Your messages of kindness put tears in my eyes...which is how I discovered how much this was still with me. I am holding them all in my heart and in the Light. Thanks for helping me bear it. I'll be okay. ♥

  10. I just now ordered some audio equipment (karaoke player, to replace our 9-year old Pioneer) from musiciansfriend.com. This is the third or fourth time I have ordered from them, and I can thoroughly recommend them. Good prices, free shipping, no sales tax, good service, 45-day no hassle return policy. Anything at all related to music--they even have a bagpipe on clearance right now!
