    1. And it's local election dat in Oak Park. Alas, my mail ballot didn't arrive in time and I'm not up to getting to the in-person voting location. (Oak Park elections are nonpartisan.)

  2. Poster idea:

    The Real Mandate is HERE.

    1. So now I'm considering a two-sided poster.
Side 1: WE are the Mandate!
Side 2: Lift up your hearts!
After all, I don't expect my protesting to change anything in DC.
I'll be there to stand with and encourage others.

  3. Nice weather this morning and mid-day, after a bit of light rain in the morning. Our new LCD TV was installed; it's a little bigger than our old plasma TV, and WAY better than the LCD TV's used to be. A little while ago (about 3:15 PM) we had thunder, lightning, pouring rain, and even hail! Sun is coming out again, but there is still a bit of lightning. Thanks to massage, my various aching/sore skeletal muscles (legs, arms, back) are greatly improved; after a nap I could get up out of bed painlessly!

  4. Well, the April Fools are all in Florida, having lost both races to the R's.
BUT! Looks like Susan Crawford will win in Wisconsin!! Record voter turnout! We need to GOTV in 2026!!!

  5. Ballot Shortages Reported in Milwaukee
April 1, 2025 By Taegan Goddard

Milwaukee election officials are reporting ballot shortages at voting sites due to what they say is “unprecedented high turnout” in Tuesday’s election, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Officials urged patience and said confirmed that anyone in line by 8 p.m. will be able to vote.

  6. The Disability Pride Parade planning committee met tonight to, among other things, choose a Grand Marshal for this year's parade. To my utter surpirse, I was nominated. I only got two votes out of 13, but it was still an honor I didn't expect.
