Thanks, Alan! We did not lose power! In fact, the weather paused long enough for us to meet VT*Grand and her S.O. at the UVM Royall Tyler Theatre for their production of "She Loves Me"! It was extremely well done!! In fact, VT*Grand said it was the BEST musical she has ever seen...! And, mind you, she has been IN a number of musicals, has seen musicals in Boston and NYC, and is usually highly critical being also on tech crew! Ha! So this was highest praise indeed! But the whole cast was so talented and there were no flubbed lines, and oh my goodness the singing was resplendent! So, that turned out to be an awesome birthday gift for her (from last September!).
Sooo, we got 5.25" of snow then a pause and now we are expecting an ice storm. Should be an interesting Sunday. Many churches have cancelled in-person service for tomorrow, opting for Zoom only, in hopes of keeping people from driving on icy roads.
We had a little rain here this morning (currently 0819 hrs), with more predicted tomorrow, and more than that the day after, then dry weather. -----Alan
I finally got my hair cut Friday and the barbar as usual had business news on TV. The anaylst said, "'we are already in stagflation," but the person he was interviewing pushed back. Not yet stagflation or at least not loke under Nixon
We ordered a new LCD TV yesterday; the picture quality may be even better than that of our (20 years?) old plasma TV. For a long time after we bought our plasma TV, it remained far better quality than LCD. -----Alan

The Guardian: Democrats have never been so angry. Who will step up and lead them? [Click] I have been watching the Democratic Party move farther and farther to the right, occupying parts of the political spectrum that had been clearly Republican, for most of my adult life. Yesterday and the day before, I was SO sore---everywhere or close to it; this morning I woke up and it was largely gone. A virus, maybe? Weather is pretty nice this afternoon; partly cloudy, still rather cool and breezy for gardening. ---Alan

ReplyDeleteI'm NOT a lover of frosting AT. ALL. ~ but I'm sorely tempted to go back to that restaurant and eat one of those cupcakes! Ha!
