    1. That's great. I'm glad something good came of it all.

    1. Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) posted:

The Supreme Court has become consumed by a corruption crisis beyond its control.

Today’s ruling represents an assault on American democracy. It is up to Congress to defend our nation from this authoritarian capture.

I intend on filing articles of impeachment upon our return.

    2. WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a lawsuit filed on Monday, millions of Americans asked the U.S. Supreme Court to grant them immunity from Donald J. Trump.

The lawsuit argues that the Constitution was intended to protect the people from Trump, unlike the Court’s recent actions, which have protected Trump from the Constitution.

“The Constitution was designed to shield the people from domestic tyranny and foreign threats,” the filing reads. “Trump represents both.”

In a separate filing, the American people asked for protection from violent insurrections enabled by Supreme Court justices’ wives.

    3. I'll mention that this was precisely the decision that was expected. No surprise.

    4. That doesn't make it any more palatable.

    5. Although if we can keep Trump from pardoning himself, it won't have that big an effect. The face elector bits, in particilar, aren't affected.

    6. Wil points out that today's ruling means that Joe Biden has immunity and his intent doesn't matter. So Wil thinks Biden ought to have DT thrown into Guantanamo Bay.

But, at very least, says Wil, Biden ought to increase the number of Justices on the bench and have the Dem-lead Senate confirm them pronto. Then they can reverse the messes this group has been making!

    7. Charles The First of England Etc. claimed to be beyond the reach of human law; the House of Commons settled his hash, and the Founders were well aware of that case. [Pardon me for repeating myself.] I might also point out that SCOTUS also just legalized bribery as long as the bribe is delivered after the fact rather than before.

    8. SCOTUS obviously needs help handling their workload; maybe another five?

    1. The similarity of the Bohdana howitzer to the Katyusha is that they were both unanticipated shoot--and--scoot weapons. Before the Wehrmacht could get the Katyusha launchers' range, they were gone. The most notable difference is that the Katyusha wasn't very accurate, so was used on enemy groupings.

  8. It will take a couple of hours to watch these videos, but IMO it's a good investment of time.

First up: Debate Debacle: Aging, stutter or cognitive decline? [click], an episode of Shrinking Trump that concentrates mainly on Biden. Don't worry if you shout at the screen, I did too. For psychologists, they can be jerks, especially John. But please watch it all the way through to the end.

Next watch Debate aftermath, Biden's heartland & what's coming for ex president [click] from Revealing Light -Tarot, Astrology & Spirituality, keeping in mind that Marianne has degrees in Psychology and Social Work. Whatever you think of her occult work, she has here some very pointed mundane world remarks.

  9. As Heather Cox Richardson said this afternoon, today marks a coup in our nation. Not a bloody coup, but a legal coup. And the media is no longer our backstop. She says now it's up to We the People.

    What recourse do we have?
    Today I took action!

I have just written to President Biden, Vice President Harris, my Rep and Senators to encourage that our President appoint 4 more Justices to the Supreme Court now and have the Democrat-lead Senate confirm them ahead of the coming Election. Then they would be able to reverse some of the recent horrendous and dangerous decisions the current corrupted SCOTUS has made.

The Republicans certainly felt it appropriate to confirm Justices within weeks or even days of an Election. We have five months. Five months to save Democracy, or it will truly be too late.

I know that there is a movement to impeach some of the current Justices, but I don’t imagine that would fly with the current House. So, we need to encourage President Biden to appoint four more Justices. We have seen them struggling to get their work accomplished given the heavier load they carry in this modern time when everything happens so fast. So, it seems time to add help to the Bench anyway.

Will you join me in contacting your Congresspersons, President Biden, and Vice President Harris and encourage others to do the same? I am going to follow up with phone calls this week, too.

We the People need to take this Independence Day seriously.
