NYT: How the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Works [Click] Expected benefits: needs only normal refrigeration and a single inoculation. The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine and the Sputnik V vaccine are similar.
The lead story at the New York Times (online) is about the start of mass Covid vaccinations in the EU. Most of the story is behind the paywall, but just reading the bit on the front page and watching the photos scroll past, all I could think was “Why isn’t this US?” On the front page of the Washington Post, I find this:
Perspective Dave Barry’s Year in Review We’re trying to think of something nice to say about 2020. Okay, here goes: Nobody got killed by the murder hornets. As far as we know. That’s pretty much it. By Dave Barry
Warm, river running sever inches below culvert top. Pushed the envelope a bit too hard--tried to get though a day without any pain meds. Error. Need to regroup.
There is a photo of a man, reportedly Warner, on Facebook. He is wearing a Trump hat with the slogan "Make Liberals Cry". Funny, I don't feel like crying...
I particularly remember the crab cakes. Nothing fancy, but nice, with friendly staff. Super convenient to the Mall, within walking distance of the White House and the Capitol. My feet were sore all the way up to my rear end by the time I went home!

If they hadn't needed to do CPR he'd be feeling great now.
He has noticed that breathing is easier.
Also, he's been processing the emotion of it all pretty well, talking it out with me.

It has seemed to me very long past time for sensible Brits who could to get a second passport.
DeleteI think a Scottish passport would do.
DeleteNo separate Scottish passport these days, but residence would be helpful should Scotland rejoin the EU.
