  1. What do you suppose the actual chances in a million are to hear the phrase "made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs" in any one 24-hour period from two very different sources? (Orig Star Wars and Year 12, Episode one, Grey's Anatomy) Actually, only a couple of hours apart.

From the article: "KKK leader David Duke is currently in Charlottesville ebulliently giving interviews claiming that this rally “fulfills the promises of Donald Trump.” For once, I agree with David Duke about something.

This is the natural byproduct of a racist, sexist president. This is the legacy of a racist, sexist country.

My fellow white Americans, do you see it? Do you see it now?"

Cheetolini fails to condemn this hatred and - yes, murder - in stronger terms because he actually silently agrees with them. Why else would his closest advisors, Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller and Gorka all be known white nationalists? Cheetolini worships brutality and saves his admiration for those who administer it.

From the article: "We are not with you, torch-bearers, in Charlottesville or anywhere.
We do no consent to this.
In fact we stand against you, alongside the very beautiful diversity that you fear.
We stand with people of every color and of all faiths, people of every orientation, nationality, and native tongue.

We are not going to have this. This is not the country we’ve built together and it will not become what you intend it to become.

So you can kiss our diverse, unified, multi-colored behinds because your racism and your terrorism will not win the day.

    Believe it."

    1. Beautiful. Thank you, Susan. I needed that.

We came home from a gathering honouring our grandniece who died last September, from being hit by a car, and today bringing two of our young granddaughters home with us. When we got here our power was out, so I am just learning of today's violence in Charlottesville and DT's unconscionable response.
