The second article now confirms that the email was sent. But the first is off-base because Dowd never said that *he* would file the Motion to Suppress. He's simply giving an unsolicited opinion of what Manfort's lawyers might do.
From the article: "Wasserman Schultz is again on defense after steadfastly refusing to explain why she continued to employ Imran Awan, an IT staffer who was under a federal investigation for an alleged equipment and data scam in the U.S. House since February. She finally fired him on July 25, one day after authorities arrested him on a seemingly unrelated mortgage fraud charge. He was at the airport leaving for Pakistan, after wiring $283,000 there. "
Also: "Barnes said she couldn’t understand why Wasserman Schultz made herself a target of attention by becoming the lone Democrat to employ Awan. Wasserman Schultz then drew even more negative attention to herself by publicly threatening the U.S. Capitol Police chief with “consequences” in a dispute over an office laptop under examination from investigators. "
And: "“Debbie Wasserman Schultz is still a national figure, but unfortunately for her it’s because so many people around the country see her as playing a devastatingly bad role in the last election,” said R.T. Rybak, the former mayor of Minneapolis and former DNC vice -chair who clashed with Wasserman Schultz. “I can mention her name in Minneapolis and it gets a viscerally negative reaction, and I’ve found that to be the case in other parts of the country, too. Sadly, I think she deserves the negative reputation.”
Well, she had help...but that does not constitute redemption. I think the New Democrats' day is done--has been for some time--but they either aren't able to see that or haven't a clue what to do about it. There needs to be some sort of new movement in the Democratic (hmmmmm....freudian slip? I started typing Demofrac..maybe Demofractured, Demofrantic, or?) party that will shove the "New Democrats" aside the same way they shoved aside the New Dealers. Something equivalent to the "Democratic Leadership Council" in its early days. Maybe that is happening, but my view is not clear.
Things have never been clear -- at least not since I got actively involved in campaigning 14 years ago. The New Democrats heyday was already past. But I think we are now starting -- I say starting -- to see a distinct and identifiable alternative. It should become clearer over the next 3-1/2 years.
We could have had Bernie were it not for DWS (and cronies) being so very adamant that it had to be HRC. Well, as we see, rats sow the seeds of their own destruction. I just wish it didn't take so long.

This too:
“You know who’s not golfing? Bob Mueller, that’s who.”

Re that third quote: I've also heard, "Donald Trump did what Barak Obama couldn't: Energize the Democratic base." Sure looks like it to me.
DeleteAnother unforced error by one of Trump’s lawyers?[Click] Very odd, if true. There IS some question about it.[Click]

Personally I hate her guts and blame her primarily for the election of Trump. She ruined EVERYTHING because she cheated for Hillary.
