  1. Sanctuary churches in Fresno [Click] If they're not careful, these folks could give Christians a good name. Notable by its absence is the megachurch at the well-to-do end of town which counts among its parishioners the Chief of Police (who never finds fault with his officers who shoot unarmed citizens) and the Sheriff (who hands out concealed weapons permits to darn near anyone who asks). [Consider the source--you all know I have an attitude.]

P.S.: Glad you like the links I post, listener; it is therapeutic for me to share them.

  2. Trump’s wiretap paranoia and the reality of modern surveillance [Click] The president’s claim that his phone was bugged is straight out of a cold-war time warp. Security services have far easier ways of intercepting communications now

Senate votes to repeal labor protection laws that safeguarded poultry workers [Click] Absolutely shameless.

  3. Is Trump’s Baku hotel venture still a live matter of concern?[Click] Cue the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act… Article has some very interesting, indeed inculpatory, quotes from The Mango Menace.

Will Trump's new travel ban be halted again in court?[Click] Yay ACLU!

  4. Still working on my #idesoftrump postcards. I checked online and you can send a postcard a maximum size of 6" wide and 4 1/4" high. That means I can print some of the really mean pictures on card stock, cut it to the accepted size and send it on its way. I'm also thinking that Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and Jason Chaffetz are deserving of some postcard action after I get the Cheetolini barrage on its way.

    1. I was at the PO yesterday and purchased another five cards--15 wasn't enough. Here's hoping for a million people like us...or more.

  5. Sandernistas in the ACLU![Click] See you in court, and see you in the streets! The huge increase in memberships (Thanks, Donald!) has enabled the ACLU to open a new popular front.

  6. I have a delicious recipe to share!

Grate an apple (including skin). Add the same amount of plain Greek yogurt. Add the same amount (a third of the total) of Bob's Red Mill Muesli. Mix in a 1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon. Cover and leave in the refrigerator overnight. This is the way the Swiss make yogurt a meal! My goodness it is sooooooo good! The Muesli is soft instead of crunchy; the yogurt makes it all so yummy and smooth. And the apple is the icing on the cake. I plan to also try it with peaches and/or strawberries sometime. Oh so good!

  7. How'd it go, listener, with your gossip?

    1. My gossip?
Do you refer to the woman who tends to chatter on and on? Actually, because she was on the ballot, she wasn't allowed to work at the polls. But, not to worry, I had to work next to the very woman who, back on the night of the November election, said I should give DT a chance...! Argh! Turns out she was in the Marines...! I would definitely have described her as a "tank" (not by size, but by personality).

    2. Nah. I meant, did the gossip win, or was that a given? I always love it when dead people win. I'm odd that way, ;ol!

  8. Sharing with permission. From an Environmental Protection Agency staffer: "So I work at the EPA and yeah it's as bad as you are hearing: The entire agency is under lockdown, the website, facebook, twitter, you name it is static and can't be updated. All reports, findings, permits and studies are frozen and not to be released. No presentations or meetings with outside groups are to be scheduled.

Any Press contacting us are to be directed to the Press Office which is also silenced and will give no response.

All grants and contracts are frozen from the contractors working on Superfund sites to grad school students working on their thesis.
We are still doing our work, writing reports, doing cancer modeling for pesticides hoping that this is temporary and we will be able to serve the public soon.

But many of us are worried about an ideologically-fueled purging and if you use any federal data I advise you gather what you can now.
We have been told the website is being reworked to reflect the new administration's policy.

Feel free to copy and paste, you all pay for the government and you should know what's going on. I am posting this as a fellow citizen and not in any sort of official capacity."
If you share (please do), please do so with copy and paste.

  9. My brother applied for an apartment and because he's on disability they wanted him to have a co-signer. So, that was me, but then they wanted my history all the way back to 1999! - which was giving me paranoid vibes.

So he emailed me tonight and told me he'd been accepted as a tenant. I said, "Thank God, I thought they were going to make us come in for a physical next so they could count our ribs or something." To which he replied,

"I can show you on the doll where they touched me."

    1. Egads. It's a world gone crazy.

But! I've been reading that in times of intense chaos like we're in, when nothing is normal, people tend to close in, feel fear, and COMPLY. We need to be on guard, lest we ALLOW this insanity. Just say NO with protest signs, solidarity and unity. We'll get through this together.
