Evidently I misunderstood the information on the Secretary of State's web site--the candidate(s) need not approve. Well, I don't regret my vote for Gloria La Riva.
Following up on a thread form yesterday: It's only a hypothesis, but my guess is that the reason People whose min reason for supporting Trump is anger/disgust with the establishment didn't go for Bernie instead is that they didn't hear him. Some probably tuned out after the word "socialist." Some bought into the line that Hillary was the inevitable Democratic nominee and saw no reason to pay attention. And then the media was paying so much attention to everything Trump said. Their tone tended to be more mocking than anything else, but to people who were looking for an alternative, any alternative, that wouldn't have mattered.
