Bernie! Bernie! Bernie!

  1. That is my favorite cartoon. It perfectly sums up this idiot primary season.

    1. Yes, it is in good taste--nothing mean, nothing angry.

  2. Re the last thread: I noticed you were getting pretty cranky, Listener. Didn't really sound like you at all, those last couple of posts. But it's perfectly understandable, given the crazy and stressful time we've all been having.

    1. Cranky would be the understatement of the year. Ready to throttle reporters who keep asking Bernie when he's going to endorse Hillary comes closer.

  3. As for replacing DNC leadership, I am helping Tim Canova to replace Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Are there any other DNC "leaders" whose skids I can similarly grease?

This is the time for Bernie to tighten the screws; he is a far better politician than the Dems and MSM have seen for a long time, and they still don't know what to make of him. Or us. I figure that If they are not *totally* oblivious, they are likely to give way in an attempt to placate us.

And what happens when (I am thinking positively) Dump Truck dumps the GOP just before (or at the beginning of) their convention? That won't just knock the GOP campaign into a cocked hat, it will do a trip on the establishment Dems' plans too. Popcorn, anyone?

  4. Well, shucks. with 30% of precincts reporting, it is 79% to 21% in favor of HRC in DC.

    1. Bloody Hell!

I was looking forward to a nice, relaxing evening watching Bernie bury HRC under his landslide. *sigh*

  5. Popcorn, definitely. We might even have to spring for pizza.

  6. Got a carton of twelve 18 Rabbits Cherry Dark Chocolate granola bars today. Sis had one, mirabile dictu, and I had one. May have to eat another, just on account.

  7. So Bernie and Hillary met for 90 minutes, but neither spoke to reporters afterward. I suppose we'll find out more on Thursday.

    1. Thanks for the update, Bill. I was wondering how that went. Neither speaking afterward probably means that Bernie didn't agree to kowtow and there wasn't anything to write home about in that. :-)

I'll be tuning in to the conference call tomorrow evening.

    2. I think your speculation is very likely correct, listener. I am reminded of a fundraising letter from Tim Canova, which I excerpt here:

"When we launched this insurgent campaign, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and her corporate donors attempted to intimidate our movement. She said, and we quote, “We have to show them how strong we are.”

But our campaign refused to back down. We built a grassroots operation from scratch, closed the money gap, and are converting more voters to our progressive cause each and every day.

This morning, our opponent sent out another pleading fundraising message to her donors saying, “They aren’t backing down. This is getting bad.”

Without question, we now have Debbie Wasserman Schultz on the ropes, and she is scrambling to rebrand herself as a progressive."

  9. Tuesday the 14th was Flag Day, so it's good that I used a Bernie photo with a flag. :-)
