    From politicalwire.com, April 25, 2016:

    “A new GW Battleground Poll finds Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in a general election match up by just three points, 46% to 43%, with 11% undecided.”

    From talkingpointsmemo.com:

    Trumpus Maximus and the Dead Ted Bounce [Click] Not unrelated to the note above…

    The Republican Senate Majority Is Collapsing Around Mitch McConnell [Click] “The 2016 map always looked good for Democrats. But if Donald Trump or Ted Cruz is at the top of the GOP ticket, it looks freaking great for them.”
    ===========================
    The Koch's Epic Fixer Upper

    "Sort of like trying to refurb a classic Mustang or other fixer-upper car and still not being able to get it to run, you can buy the party, invest a lot of money, but still not make it not be crazy. Koch Bros, disenchanted with presidential primaries, to sit out GOP convention.
    To be clear with the Kochs, they're not looking for good government. But they're looking for a GOP that reliably delivers as a capital-first policy vehicle. That was Jeb, maybe Rubio, possibly Walker. Not this."

    From berniesanders.com:

    Bernie addresses more than fourteen thousand people on the New Haven Green. [Click] The political pundits sure do seem right about his campaign being on the rocks. Ayuuup. And I have a great deal for you on a bridge, today only.

    Bernie Says Hillary Will Need to Challenge Oligarchs to Get Enthusiastic Support from His Voters [Click] "If she continues to be a proponent of establishment politics and establishment economics ... she'’s not going to generate the excitement that I think we need."

    Speaking strictly for myself, back in 1972 I figured maybe the leopard could change its spots, and voted to re-elect Nixon. I was mistaken, and it soured me on the whole idea.—Alan

  3. It won't be enough for Hillary to challenge oligarchs because Bernie supporters do not trust in her word. We know how desperate she is to be "The First Woman President" and she will do and say anything to get there. I have no intention of supporting Hillary if she gets the nomination and I won't feel one moment of guilt over it. I sincerely believe she will lose the general and any fault lies with the Democratic Establishment for putting up and supporting such a deeply, deeply flawed candidate.

    1. Susan--
      Roger Stone seems to be looking forward to doing a hatchet job on HRC, [Click] whom he considers "a weak and vulnerable foe." If HRC should be nominated and lose, I expect it will be blamed on someone [anyone!] else, like Ralph Nader was blamed for Al Gore's loss. I am reminded of the observation that "A ham sandwich should have been able to beat George W. Bush; but unfortunately Al Gore was not a ham sandwich."

  4. ^ What Susan said!! I am on that very same page, Susan. The only guilt I would feel would be if I voted for her, whether she won or lost!

    Thanks for the tulip note, Alan.
