Crocuses

  1. Good Goddess, listener! That turnout for Bernie in Philadelphia ought to have made HRC's campaign manager swallow his cud! Thanks so much for sharing. (I sent him a bit of love this afternoon--including the sixteen cents, of course.)

    1. I sent *Bernie* some love, that is; HRC's campaign manager can buy a new cud out of his own pocket as far as I am concerned. [Heartless fellow, me...]

  2. I checked the County Clerk's web site to see if the lab could help (I knew we couldn't--our precinct is 100% vote-by-mail) and it seems they are down to needing ten polling stations. Now back to the Philadelphia rally info!

  3. I was watching the Bernie Philadelphia rally and reaized it was two weeks ago. Still a good watch, but I need to cut some Z's.

  4. Clinton’s digital task force [Click] If this is only half true, it is REALLY bad. IN fact, it sounds like criminal conspiracy—quite possibly a violation of the RICO statutes.

There is (seemingly to me, very silly) talk about a Clinton-Warren ticket. I think Senator Warren is a lot smarter than that.

The desperate scramble for Bernie's secret weapon [Click] What a laugh! If they were to get Bernie’s e-mail list, it would blow up in their faces. “Democrats of all stripes also know that another, bigger, question looms: how — or even if —Clinton’s campaign will get any access to Sanders’ roster of young liberals, the group she’s struggled to reach for months.” Oh, yeah—she’s struggled to reach me for months, all right—sent me a whole one letter, she did. It will be interesting to see if she sends me a flyer for the California primary election—if she should, it will probably be too late; I expect that I will vote (for Bernie) within 24 hours of getting my mail-in ballot—that would probably be weeks before “election day.”

    1. I think Clinton is also too smart to go for a Clinton-Warren ticket. Two Northeastern women does not strike me as the balance a presidential ticket goes for.

    2. Alan ~~ I seem to recall that you explicitly told the Clinton campaign to shove it. So they did. I haven't responded to them at all, so I continue to get a couple of emails a day. Not that I am a *young* liberal.

But as I think of all the email lists I am already on. I have to wonder just how much Bernie's list matters. Bernie's endorsement would be much more to the point.

  5. This just in today; it looks like the Bernie team is stepping up its operation, a little more than six weeks before the California primary election on "June 7th." (Actually from May 9th for us vote-by-mail types.)

    ==============
    Alan –

After Tuesday, the primary calendar moves westward, and California's June 7th election will be here before you know it. We're going to fight hard for a win in California, because every vote and every delegate is a declaration of support for the values we share.

But that can only happen if we can get supporters just like you out there talking to California voters about Bernie and making sure they'll turn out to vote.

Will you pitch in this weekend at an event near you to help Bernie win?

    Door knocking for Bernie:
    Saturday, April 23ʳᵈ in Fresno

    Door knocking for Bernie:
    Sunday, April 24ᵗʰ in Fresno

You can also check our map for other events happening near you.

When we stand together, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. A big win in California is within reach, but we can't do it without you. So we hope to see you this weekend!

    In solidarity,

    Team California for Bernie
