Last of the Leaves

  1. The expected cold front has just arrived.
Yesterday it was 63F and partly sunny here. Currently we have rain and 54F. This is the warmest temp we will see for awhile, as temps will fall to 32F today and not rise out of the 30's again for at least a week! Very little snow in sight, though.

  2. Pretty photo. Gonna snag it for Arty. Yes, after over twelve months, I'm back with Arty...for who knows how long.

Still warmish here. We're scheduled to get the cold front tomorrow. All storm windows down in preparation.

I like the idear of a powet company. Listener, you may have started something big. *grin*

  3. Well, they hiked the temps a bit and moved the moisture, now transformed to rain, back to Mundy.

    1. Much of what I read caused me to go, "HUH?" Then I noticed the date. It may well be an accurate description of American politics in the early 1990s. I strongly feel that it is not an accurate depiction of American politics post-Dean.

    2. For me, it was an important explication of how we got from the politics of my childhood, to the politics of the Clintons.

    3. He's right that Clinton wasn't picked by big-city bosses. That's possibly the biggest change from the politics of my youth. But that had already happened a couple of decades earlier.

  5. Listener and Puddle, help! I've scheduled posts at Arty but the first didn't post and now I notice that the others say "Draft" instead of "Scheduled." What's going on?

    1. Just checked Arty, and it looks like you found the box at the top! This glitch is about a year old, but it's getting slightly better, lol! I used to sometimes get six or seven "drafts" generated while trying to post one post!!

    2. Yikes!

Guess there isn't any free ride. I thought it would be possible to create posts in advance and just set them to post, the lazy woman's way out.

    3. You can, lol! You just need to make sure it takes, rather than stays in draft. To the right side of the posting page is where you set *when* you want it to post. When you get to the all posts page, just check all the ones still in draft (if they are whole posts) and click the box at the top of the center column that says publish. That will immediately publish any without future publish dates, and put the rest into "scheduled".

    4. Yeah, what puddle said. :-)

When I set posts for HEP, I go to the creation page and get the post ready, then I use the little calendar in the right column there to set date and time for each post.

    5. Ah so! I press "Publish" and "Draft" magically turns to "Scheduled." Thank you ladies!

Thay, Thich Nhat Hanh, had a severe brain hemorrhage on Tuesday. He was in a coma, but is now awake and responsive, so there is hope that he may yet recover. Please keep him mindfully in your prayers. Chants are invited.
