  2. Beautiful day here. Blue sky, sunshine... high of 28...beautiful and cold!

    Conversation with Mum:
Me: The snow is pretty enough, but I'm ready for Winter to be over.

Mum: When I was a kid, we never even thought about Winter being over till the end of March.

Me: That's fine, but remember where we lived in England? By this time Spring would be starting.

    Mum: That's different.

Me: Well, that's the kind of climate I'm interested in.

    Mum: Well, hmmm...

Alan, I can almost feel the waxy smoothness of the petals on your Tulip Tree. It's so beautiful and reminds me that it's time for a lunch date with Mah*Sweetie inside the local Gardener's Supply store, where sandwiches are served in the Greenhouse!"

    That sounds loverly.

Hmmm.....I am reminded of the alleged Swedish saying that there is no such thing as cold weather, just poor clothing."

Sounds right to me. Also, thanks for the link on Luna.

Has anyone heard from Susan lately?
Hoping all is well. I miss her wit and news of her quilts and Grands!!"

I' was wondering about Susan too. I know she's on FB but for some reason she isn't on my friends list, so I don't have a quick way to check on her. Listener and Puddle? If not, maybe some other FB Deaniacs can help?

    1. She's on fb, but not much. Me neither, for that fact. She seems okay.

      Miss her, too.

  4. Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall in a Tea Party household as they watch the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Sochi? Will their heads explode when they realise that they have anti-gay sentiment in common with "Commies"? ;-)

Sadly, I don't think they are capable of making the connection.

    2. Maybe not, Cat…but their kids will. ;-)

    3. They would probably think the Russians are still Communists...although granted some are. They still probably drink tea, though.
