  1. Tanner's last chemo bag started about an hour ago. Then a day's rest, and then the marrow. . . .

    1. puddle, it's a really big deal. It's such a big deal that Bone Marrow Recipients speak of it as their other Birth Day!

    2. Who is Tanner's donor? Is it a family member? Any chance it's a perfect match donor??

Hopes and Prayers a flying! ♡

    3. I don't know. She hasn't said. His father was eligible for the liver transplant that didn't happen. Don't know if his brothers are old enough to be considered.

  2. Son*in*Maine: The girls and I made a snowman this morning that they promptly dubbed "Frosty" and they were convinced that he would come to life. Unfortunately he fell over (the snow was very wet) shortly after we came inside. I went back out and removed the evidence. Next time they looked out the window the snowman was gone. They were initially upset, but then were sure that he had come to life and was running around town. Later when they were upstairs playing I went back out and quickly reconstructed him closer to the house. Squeals of glee when they noticed!

Me: That is awesome!!! Will you need to move him again after nightfall?

Son: Possibly. I told them that even magic snowmen can sleep for a long time.
Of course now they want him to talk...

Me: Of course they do. Maybe the snow wasn't quite the right sort for that. ;-)

    Son: Exactly.

  4. I remember when Naomi began to suspect that the runic addresses Santa Claus was putting on the presents might not be totally legit…

    Fingers crossed for Tanner, puddle.

listener--those ground stone birds in the previous day's photo are REALLY cute! But sledding in the dark? That sounds dangerous.

Not a bad weekend at the hospital, what with starting at 8:00 AM Saturday. Some interference with my beauty sleep is to be expected, of course. Had some fun re-reading parts of a Darkover anthology. Stiff a (very) few influenza cases coming through the ER, but 1919 it ain't.

  5. "Stiff a (very) few" should read "Still a (very) few"
