  1. And Howard's the Boy, even so!

Yikes! Sympathies to anyone born in the Year of the Snake: http://chinadigitaltimes.net/2013/02/year-of-the-snake-draws-hisses/

    1. I dunno, puddle... Pope Ratzinger announced today that he's retiring (first pope to retire before death in 600 years!). I'd say, so far, so good!

    2. I'd love to see a new pope with forward thinking idears.

    3. Benedict (the former Cardinal Ratzinger(?)) is basically one of the good guys. But, someone younger and h ipper would be nice. Even so, JPII will be a *hard* act to follow, even with some of his rather old fashioned idears. He set the bar pertty high.

I've been busy all last night and this afternoon playing quizzes at Fun Trivia. Haven't heard any news. If it weren't for HEP, I'd never know anything. *grin*

  2. Just talked to the lady at the garage: they came by and looked at the windshield wiper. Needs a part that Ford no longer makes. No substitutes either. She'll be looking for a dead body and a part to be donated. Pray. I *love* this vehicle.

    2. puddle...check with acGood News Garage!

Got exact specs on that wiper? I'd be easy enough to mail if we had one up this way. Name your vehicle!

    1. Yeah, I do. Even though I have to settle for being vindicated "on the inside" because no one ever acknowledges it. I think the whole family is enjoying the kitten and her antics, although you know none of them will ever say so out loud.

Demetrius is insanely busy with work, which is good for the money but bad for us having time together.

I think we must have the noisiest humidifier in the world (I think D got it from the Habitat for Humanity store. It's starting to give me a headache, so I think the doggies and I will be turning in now.

  5. Went to a Managing Cholesterol Naturally seminar tonight offered by a holistic nutritionist. I learned more about my body, how it works, and what it needs in that hour and a half than in nearly 40 years of doctors' visits. And it wasn't a fruits and flakes talk either; it was solid with facts and information about how the liver works, which foods are good for us and more. Why doesn't the AMA offer programs like this? All they do is offer the food table and push exercise...and Statins. I'm going to blow away my AMA doc next visit.

  6. Oh, before I forget...the community theater group where I auditioned for Steel Magnolias is going to be having auditions for Charlotte's Web later in the month. Must make sure to look into that.
