  1. Hip, hip, Howard!

Yesterday and today (Wednesday) both very busy at work--the minions of the law have been busy catching drunk drivers starting this past weekend. Will have to wait and see if there are a lot of End Of The World celebrants. Can't say as I have paid much attention to the Mayan calendar stuff; it was my understanding that it simply marks the end of an era.

  2. When I got off work last night there was a bit of frost on top of my car, and this morning the wind machines in the orchards are hard at work.

  3. They say we're supposed to get a winter storm beginning around 3 in the afternoon. We'll see. Currently rainy with temps in the mid-40s.

    1. It's 7:20 and still no snow. Just a little desultory off-and-on rain. The predicted high winds have shown up either.

  5. Penny, who is just back from the grocery store, tells me that in fact it is snowing now but it's melting as it hits the ground.

  6. We are home safely from Larry's memorial service. There was a long, wonderful slides how montage of photos and the very last photo was a sonogram photo...because Larry & Elizabth's son David and wife Kim are expecting their first child in May...the very same week that our youngest and his wife are expecting their first child.
