  1. Howard's first!

Echo (which may be the worst software on the 'nets) is last.

    Cold and bright this morning.

    Peaceful Sunday to ya'll.

  2. Nice morning, not so warm and humid as yesterday (it was uncomfortable), raisins close to dried, brunch instead of breakfast (we slept in after staying up later than we should have). Finished covering (to hide from the birds) most of the persimmons yesterday (big crop this year). Being lazy this morning, will get to work on paperwork etc. for my consulting business this afternoon. Nice. Hope the weather is good back East.

  3. Been a lovely day. Still and coolish and bright. Did a bit of gardening, gathering the fall weeds for Nancy's chickies, and she provided two more dozen eggs this morning. Was nice being out and about a bit.

  4. The hike through the Metro Park was great. We saw two groups of three deer each, a hawk sitting on the roof of a home, a ginormous mansion landscaped to the nth degree with a heron, two black swans, two white swans and ducks.

Thought I'd be going to lunch with sis and bil after, but fate had other plans. Just before we finished the hike Son #1 called on my cell phone. They were stuck at a bookstore about 8 miles away with a dead battery. So I took sis and bil home, picked up brother and battery cables and off we went. Brother got the car started and I ended up taking home two grandchildren I hadn't expected to entertain. Granddaughter went home around 5 p.m. Dad picked her up for a Scout meeting. Grandson stayed overnight.

Tomorrow I have to get up at 0'dark thirty again. Electrician coming to fix our non-functioning porch light. With Halloween looming I don't want any little kids to trip in the dark and hurt themselves.

Bottom line; I'm totally beat, my legs hurt like the devil and I feel every second of my age tonight. Going to bed early so I can make it up tomorrow and hopefully recharge my batteries.
