  2. Got word from Rick late tonight: he's going in for the rib resection drainage tomorrow. First thing. Had to go back to the hospital tonight because after spending most of the afternoon there, they forgot to get a blood draw for typing. These peeps are making me *nervous*. . . .

  3. rib resection drainage??? Why, that doesn't sound like any fun at all! Guess I'm a fine one to talk, though. Kinda surprised they didn't just take care of it in the morning. If they get a move on they can do a type, antibody screen and crossmatch in 45 minutes. And I doubt they actually anticipate giving any blood, it's probably just an "in case" sort of thing. Wish him well for me.

  4. ARG! I accidentally deleted all three of my YouTubes and, more importantly, all the lovely comments. Got them back up but, really! And after all that, still can't figure out what's wrong with the sound on the one I've been working on. What a bloody idiot! Oh, well. I'm very lucky if that's the biggest irritation in my life. I do realize that, and am grateful. But I still want to bang my head against the wall!

  6. Waked this morning to the sound of heavy equipment. The guy who's going to repair my river dropped off his caterpillar. Which is now sitting square in my garden. And on top of one very pretty dragonfly tile on a spike. *Former* dragonfly tile on a spike. . . . This work that was promised for August. No word on when *he's* returning to do it, but I take this as a good sign.

  7. *groan* sorry about that, Puddle. May the work at least be done in a timely, efficient and satisfactory manner.

  8. She made regular cake, put the batter into several bowls and added different food colouring to each batch. Then she piled it into the pan as separate colours, with maybe an extra swirl-through with the spoon. :-)
